Fresh Food for Growing Minds.
The Farm Lab explores new ways of growing food that benefit both people and the planet. Our experiments yield many tons of fresh, nutritious produce that we’re proud to donate to our community.
Our food is donated to local schools through our Feast Box program — a cardboard box that’s easy for kids to carry and easy for staff to distribute.
We’re passionate about bringing up the next generation of healthy eaters.

FAQs
How long does the program run?
The Feast Box typically runs in the fall at the start of the school year for up to 12 weeks. We’re happy to explore shorter distributions—contact us to discuss how we can collaborate with your school!

Why is this food free?
The Farm Lab is fortunate to receive funding for both the innovative practices we use to grow the food, and from food access grants. The Feast Box program supports the Farm Lab and other local farms, too.

Can I get the Feast Box program in my school?
We’re planning to expand in 2026, so please reach out to explore this option.

What’s in the box?
Each week, the box has 4-5 different vegetables (and sometimes fruits and grains). Most of the produce is grown at the Farm Lab, but we boost the bounty with additions from other local farms.

What is Momentum Ag?
Momentum funds on-farm trials to ground-truth innovative regenerative techniques. We’re farmer-led. The Farm Lab is a place where we can run trials to support our farmers’ efforts. To learn more about Momentum, click here.

Which schools are currently receiving Feast Boxes?
In 2025, our vegetables are heading to students and staff at two local schools (New Hingham Elementary in Chesterfield, MA, and Conte Community Elementary in Pittsfield, MA) every week.
Conte Community Elementary in Pittsfield has been supported by a grant from Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation.
